Why Expatriates in the Philippines Should Buy a Property in Cebu

To our dear expatriates and foreign retirees:

The US real estate market has drifted lower in the past years, so I understand a few of the expats and retirees' prefers to rent than to purchase a property in the Philippines. But I have read one comment
in this ongoing predicament online.

"It better to have some kind of property that you can fall back into, when all your hard-earned money is gone except social security. If you have the money to buy a house in the Philippines, why not buy it and pay as early as you can, not worry about it, just the little property taxes."

Well, I can't blame some of our expat friends if the basis of their comparison especially in investment purposes, is in the quaint little town in the Philippines where real estate market sleeps. Whereas here in Cebu, there is a growth of OFW remittances, foreign investors and business process outsourcing so yields are attractive especially in large condominiums or just even studio units in prime locations such as in business parks. It is also important to take note that the real estate market here in Cebu is far from being saturated. We are just merely talking about investment after all, but I'd like to also point out that real estate is also your tangible savings.

Here are some of the high-yielding properties in prime locations here in Cebu City. Ideal locations are in Cebu IT Park and Ayala Cebu Business Park.
